Worshiping Scholars in Islam

Salam alaykom wa rahmatu Allah

What is the job of Muslim scholars?
Their job is transferring knowledge to those who don't know

But sadly, I came across many Muslims who worship scholars
They don't prostrate before them
But they listen to them when they make the unlawful lawful and the lawful unlawful

It's rare to find a scholar making the unlawful lawful

But alot of scholars make the lawful unlawful
and while they do that, they clearly go against Quran and Sunnah

a Muslim is not a blind follower

A Muslim looks for knowledge NOT for person

A Muslim listens to this and that and compares what he hears with Quran and sunnah then makes up his mind

A Muslim doesn't follow his scholar blindly and waits for the next thing that mighty scholar will say

A Muslim doesn't believe what that scholar is saying just because THAT SCHOLAR said it

A Muslim believes what that scholar said because he provided evidence from Quran and Sunnah to what he said

Humans make mistakes
That's why we can never take knowledge from one scholar
especially when these scholars have an agenda, like the scholars of the rulers
They talk so well in all matters and they give evidence from Quran and Sunnah
but when it comes to critical topics like Jihad, Rulers and politics, they twist some scripts and hide some others
